Managing companies
More information about managing the companies inside your CRM.
Short answer: open CRM > Companies. There you search for organisations, create new companies, and manage existing ones. You link contacts to a company, so conversations come together per organisation.
Step by step
- Open CRM in the menu and choose Companies.
- Create a new company, or find an existing one with the search box.
- Per company you manage the details and the linked contacts.
Good to know
Companies and contacts belong together: a contact is a person, a company is the organisation that person belongs to. By keeping both up to date, you see not only who you're talking to, but also on whose behalf.
For a company, only the name is required. Two things to know: you can't delete a company while contacts still belong to it (including archived ones), so detach or remove them first. And archiving a company doesn't unlink its contacts: they stay active and keep pointing to the archived company.
